The Philodendron, belongs to the plant family of the Araceae.
The Philodendron strawberry shake is native to Colombia, where it climbs up trees. It is most notable for its dark red stems and leaf undersides. But what makes it especially popular with collectors of tropical plants is its unique variegation. This is cream to pinkish red and shows up very well on the dark green leaves. With the Philodendron strawberry shake you have found a true exotic - it is simply an eye-catcher.

You should provide this rare houseplant with a vine as it grows larger. This will make them feel at home. In nature, the philodendron is a climbing artist, which is why it also needs climbing aids as a houseplant. Self-made climbing sticks made of sphagnum moss or, of course, conventional sticks for climbing plants are suitable for this purpose. The Philodendron strawberry shake feels most comfortable at tropical temperatures of 20° to 22° Celsius, a bright location with indirect light and increased humidity.
The loose-airy substrate should neither dry out completely nor carry too much water. Generally, the plant does not consume much water, so it should be carefully checked whether renewed watering is already necessary. To avoid waterlogging, the first few inches of soil must be dry before watering. You can check this very easily by sticking your finger into the substrate. How often you actually have to water depends on light, humidity, the size of the plant and the pot.

We rely on beneficial insects instead of chemical pesticides for pest control. Each plant is checked by us before shipping and freed from them. Nevertheless, it is possible that one of our helpers gets into your package. They are harmless and will not harm you or your plants at home.
The appearance of the offered product may change until shipment, because it is a living and growing plant. A new leaf may be added as well as an existing leaf may discolor or even die. Since plants are delicate creatures, leaves may be damaged or weakened by shipping. This must be accepted at the time of purchase.
