Care
If this rare houseplant is looking for something to climb up on, it should be provided promptly. This will promote healthy growth and beautiful large leaves. This also makes the Philodendron feel at home. Self-made climbing aids made of Sphagnum moss or commercially available climbing sticks for climbing plants are suitable.
Temperatures between 20° and 25° Celsius as well as increased humidity are optimal for the rare Philodendron verrucosum, as they correspond to the rainforest climate. It also enjoys bright, indirect light. This is usually found in front of west or east-facing windows. The substrate should always be nicely loosened and never dry out completely. To avoid waterlogging, it is recommended to water again only when the first centimeters of soil are dry. How often you really need to water in the end depends largely on light, humidity, the size of the plant and that of the pot.
