Philodendron wend-imbe variegata
Philodendron, or also called tree friend because of its name, belongs to the plant family of the Araceae. It is mostly native to the neotropical rainforests of the U.S. state of Florida, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean islands and tropical South America. Philodendron wend-imbe is a hybrid of Philodendron wendlandii and Philodendron imbe. In this fairly new species, the bushy and compact growth habit is special, the leaves are elongated and remain rather small. The Philodendron wend-imbe variegata is particularly captivating with its clear white variegation, which draws various patterns and spots on the leaves.
Care
Rare Philodendron wend-imde variegata feels most comfortable with indirect light and increased humidity. Temperatures of 20° to 24° Celsius and an airy substrate are optimal. The substrate of this tropical plant should never dry out completely. It is best to water when the first few inches of soil are dry. This helps to avoid waterlogging and promotes healthy growth. How often you actually have to water depends on the light, the humidity, the size of the plant and the pot.
