Syngonium mottled arrowhead / mojito
Syngoniums belong to the Araceae family and are native to tropical rainforests in southern Mexico, the West Indies and Central and South America. Here you will find some treasures that will soften the plant lover's heart.
Especially exciting are the many different colors and variations that Syngoniums have to offer. The rare Syngonium mottled arrowhead (also called Syngonium mojito) has a fascinating variegation. The dots in various shades of white and green make the leaf pattern almost unique - no two leaves are alike! No wonder this rare houseplant is so popular.
Care
From a certain size, this rare houseplant, just like other climbing plants, needs a vine stick to which it is attached. For this purpose, commercially available vine sticks for climbing plants or homemade from Sphagnum moss are suitable. In nature, Syngoniums sometimes grow up more than 20 meters on jungle trees.
According to the climate in rainforests, the substrate should never dry out completely. Therefore, a constant moisture in the pot ball is optimal. Before watering again, the top layers of the soil should already be slightly dry to avoid waterlogging. The Syngonium is happy with increased humidity, bright indirect light and temperatures between 18° and 23° Celsius.
