Syngonium orm nak / aom nak
Syngoniums belong to the Araceae family and are typical at home in tropical rainforests. This unusual species is found in southern Mexico, the West Indies and Central and South America. Especially exciting about this plant species are the many different colors and variations. With its bright pink leaf coloration, Syngonium orm nak is a very special rarity among houseplants. The great contrast between the bright pink leaves and the rich green stems and leaf undersides is a real eye-catcher.
Care
This exotic is a real climber. Once the Syngonium orm nak has grown a little larger, it needs a vine stick to which it is attached. For this purpose, commercially available vine sticks for climbing plants or homemade ones made of sphagnum moss are suitable. In nature, they sometimes grow over 20 meters in height on jungle trees. With the vine stick you make it home to it and furthermore show it the right way. Since the Syngonium orm nak is a true tropical plant and has its home in rainforests, its environment should be adapted to these conditions. The substrate should never be allowed to dry out completely - even moisture in the pot ball is optimal, although waterlogging should be avoided at all costs. Before watering, the top layers of soil should dry slightly to prevent this. How often you actually need to water it then depends greatly on light, humidity, size of the plant and the pot. The rare syngonium feels particularly well with increased humidity, bright but indirect light and temperatures between 18° and 23° Celsius.
