Syngonium belong to the Araceae family and are native to tropical rainforests in southern Mexico, the West Indies and Central and South America. What makes this plant species particularly exciting is the many different colors and variations. The rare Syngonium scrambled eggs is the variegated form of Syngonium wendlandii, hence its rich green, velvety leaves with the silver marking in the center of the leaf. To top it off, the variegation draws various patterns in shades of yellow and cream on the leaf. This almost unique play of colors makes this plant a very special rarity and an eye-catcher in any living room jungle.

Care

Once the Syngonium scrambled eggs has grown a bit larger, it will need a vine rod to attach it to. Commercially available vine sticks for climbing plants or homemade ones made of Sphagnum moss are suitable for this purpose. In nature, they sometimes grow over 20m in height on jungle trees. The substrate should never dry out completely, optimal is a continuous even moisture in the pot ball. Before watering, the top layers of soil should dry slightly to avoid waterlogging. Then how often you actually need to water depends largely on the light, humidity, the size of the plant and that of the pot. This rare syngonium is happy with increased humidity, bright indirect light and temperatures between 18° and 23°.

We rely on beneficial insects instead of chemical pesticides for pest control. Each plant is checked by us before shipping and freed from them. Nevertheless, it is possible that one of our helpers gets into your package. They are harmless and will not harm you or your plants at home.
The appearance of the offered product may change until shipment, because it is a living and growing plant. A new leaf may be added as well as an existing leaf may discolor or even die. Since plants are delicate creatures, leaves may be damaged or weakened by shipping. This must be accepted at the time of purchase.
