Syngonium belong to the family Araceae and are native to the tropical rainforests of southern Mexico, the West Indies and Central and South America. What makes this plant species particularly exciting is the many different colors and variations. The rare Syngonium strawberry ice with its white to pink variegation on the brown-green leaves is a very special rarity among houseplants.

Care

Once the Syngonium strawberry ice has grown a bit larger, it may need a climbing pole to attach it to. For this purpose, commercially available vine sticks for climbing plants or homemade from Sphagnum moss are suitable. In nature, they sometimes grow over 20m in height on jungle trees. The substrate should never dry out completely, optimal is a continuous even moisture in the pot ball. Before watering, the top layers of soil should dry slightly to avoid waterlogging. Then how often you actually need to water depends largely on the light, humidity, the size of the plant and that of the pot. This rare Syngonium is happy with increased humidity, bright indirect light and temperatures between 18° and 23°.

We rely on beneficial insects instead of chemical pesticides for pest control. Each plant is checked by us before shipping and freed from them. Nevertheless, it is possible that one of our helpers gets into your package. They are harmless and will not harm you or your plants at home.
The appearance of the offered product may change until shipment, because it is a living and growing plant. A new leaf may be added as well as an existing leaf may discolor or even die. Since plants are delicate creatures, leaves may be damaged or weakened by shipping. This must be accepted at the time of purchase.
